Refresh Eye Recovery Serum First Impressions #refresheyeserum

I have recently become a huge fan of eye serums as my eyes have really started showing my age. I've noticed a few lighter wrinkles appearing in my under-eye area as well as more noticeable dark circles than before. I used to feel like the same products I used on my face were good enough to just be spread onto my eyes and that would give them all the protection and care they needed. As I tried out other eye products in the past, it wasn't until I tried the Refresh Eye Recovery Serum that I realized I was wrong.

I was recently given the opportunity to try a new this new eye product in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions. Because new items introduced to any skincare routine can take 30 to 90 days to show it's full effect, my plan with this review is to give you my first impressions on the product I've used and any effects I received within 30 days of using the products mentioned here.

Refresh's Peptide+ Intense Eye Recovery serum is a dynamic and effective dark circle elimination treatment. Using an active ingredient mix of purified soy, rice and yeast peptides, the formula positively stimulates blood circulation away from the eyes to dramatically reduce dark circles and puffiness.
• Reduces dark circles and puffiness around the eyes
• Restores important moisture levels
• Soothes and softens the skin
• Is safe and gentle to use around the eyes

The specific peptides used in this formula help improve microcirculation by strengthening the layers of the skin,
which regulate collagen formation and elasticity. Thanks to the uplifted and rejuvenated skin cells, circulation within the delicate and sensitive blood vessels improves and alleviates the appearance of dark circles.
The Natural Seaweed and Hyaluronic Serum in which the formula is based delivers a moisturizing boost. Seaweed is rich in antioxidants and protective value. Hyaluronic Acid is a natural moisturizer that attracts and retains moisture from the environment.
This eye serum comes in a very unique, syringe-like package that I find to be handy for dispensing and for storage. You simply pump the end of the "syringe" once and that dispenses enough product for both eyes. The end of the "syringe" is flat, so I can store it upright, and it's slim design takes up hardly any room on my shelf. This would also be ideal in a drawer to lay on its side as well.

The serum is odorless, viscous fluid that is similar to a watery gel. Within seconds of application a cooling effect is felt, and this mild cooling sensation suppresses any puffiness I may be experiencing. I've found that this formula doesn't absorb as much into the skin as it does dry quickly to the top of the skin, which I found to be odd. I do think there is some absorption happening because of the feeling I have in my skin, but there is a tightening sensation I have as the serum dried and I can visibly see the serum smooth out my under-eye area.

This serum is not excessively moisturizing, but the hyaluronic acid does deliver moisture deeper into the skin than a cream would. The top of my eye area honestly looks dry because of the product drying on top, and if I apply makeup I have to also apply moisturizer on top of the serum or my eye area looks flaky with makeup on top. I highly recommend this serum for night time use, but I try to use it both day and night, just taking note of the appearance of dry skin it can give during the day. That being said, I have never been happier or seen such an amazing result from any eye are product before, and highly recommend it!

You can find the Eye Recovery Serum from Refresh on their website.
