The Charcoal Detox Cleanser by Michael Todd puts activated charcoal to work doing what it does best - absorbing toxins, unclogging pores and removing impurity and dead skin from your face. Added maple and sugar cane work with the organic aloe base to gently exfoliate while neutralizing PH, increasing skin cell renewal and cleansing without over-drying.
Highly effective for almost any type of skin, the antioxidants, as well as tea tree and other essential oils heal blemishes, promote anti-aging, prevent acne and help with treating rosacea, eczema and acne.
Activated Charcoal removes impurities without damaging the skins natural barrier. Penetrates deep within pores to gently draw out impurities unclogging pores and leaving skin feeling clean, smooth and refreshed. Recommended for acne prone, oily and problematic skin types.

First Impression:
When I first imagine a charcoal cleanser, I expect something messy and chunky that's difficult to actually cleanse my face with. This cleanser is smooth, organic smelling, and feels refreshing on the skin. It is not abrasive in any way and doesn't cause redness or irritation.

My Thoughts:
After the first use I noticed blackheads had loosened up on my nose. I found myself extracting several blackheads that were loose or midway dissolved by the charcoal. It left my face feeling refreshed and clean, not dry or sore. I am in love with this cleanser. It's perfect for daily use, and just what my oily, acne prone face needed.  I highly recommend this cleanser to anyone who needs an extra cleaning boost in their skincare routine!
