About:

MY Konjac Sponge are made exclusively with the konjac fiber, a pure vegetable fiber taken from the root of the Amorphophallus Konjac plant. Konjac plant, also known as konnyaku potato or elephant yam, is a plant that is native to eastern Asia. Konjac root is rich in minerals, vitamins, and it has been traditionally used as a beauty treatment for a long time in eastern Asia. MY Konjac Sponge is made to the very highest of standards, using the purest volcanic rock filtered water and food grade konjac. All products are hypoallergenic & fragrance free. Products are never tested on animals, and they carry the Vegan Society logo as well as Leaping Bunny logo, the highest standard of cruelty-free status in the cosmetics industry.

First Impression:
If you have not used a fiber sponge before, you may be surprised at how hard it is when dry (and new in the package) and wonder how it would possibly work on your face, but luckily I have tried them before, so I wasn't so concerned! Just fair warning right away that the sponge will soften up after soaking a short time for the first use.

The first thing I noticed about this sponge is that it is larger than other facial sponges I've used. I like this, as it's much easier to hold and wash my face with. I was worried that the charcoal would be messy, but it seems to more be fused with the sponge itself than an actual separate ingredient.

My Thoughts:
I am very impressed with the construction of this sponge, how well it holds up with use, and how long it lasts. The attached string makes it easy to hang by a suction cup on the bathroom mirror, so I know it dries completely and doesn't form mold. I also feel like it did contribute to my skin clearing up as well. This sponge is well worth the price and I recommend this particular sponge for anyone with acne-prone skin.

MY Konjac Sponge offers several different sponges for other skin types as well:
