Zip & Block Baby Mattress Encasing #Review

Covering a mattress may seem like a simple task. You buy a waterproof cover to prevent accidents from leaking into the mattress and you're done, right? Wrong! Did you know that while you're protecting your childs' mattress from moisture, you can also be protecting it from bed bugs and allergens too!

The Zip & Block mattress encasing is a soft knit fabric with an ultra-thin breathable polyurethrane membrane provides protection from allergen molecules of less than 1.0 micron. The top surface is a silky smooth polyester knit, while the bottom surface closest to the mattress is a scientifically tested breathable membrane that blocks out bed bugs, dust mites and their waste.

As medically recommended, they are unquilted and manufactured with an outer zipper flap, an interior zipper flap and reinforced inner seams for the most effective barrier to related allergens.

I was very happy with my experience with the Zip and Block Mattress Encasing on my sons mattress. While this encasing was designed with babys' crib in mind, I was happy that it could easily be just as efficient on a toddler bed with the same size mattress as well. After having our sons' mattress in storage for a short time, bed bugs were a concern that crossed our minds. While we did have the mattress cleaned before bringing it back into the house, I felt especially calm and at ease knowing that we still had this extra protection for our child. Also as renters, we just never know what is lurking in another unit connected to us. The peace of mind that this mattress encasing offers is worth every penny.
